MLB／休賽季第一天 大谷動完TJ手術
昨天才打完例行賽最終戰，天使「二刀流」大谷翔平今天就動了手肘韌帶置換手術（Tommy John），天使總管艾普勒（Billy Eppler）表示，在名醫艾特拉切（Neal ElAttrache）執刀下一切順利，大谷休賽季也會花許多時間留在加州復健。
艾普勒宣布大谷翔平已經開完刀的消息，並轉述艾特拉切的專業見解，「他對所見的情況很樂觀，也對往後復健抱持信心。」
在被建議動TJ手術後，大谷翔平繼續打完球季最後一個月，9月繳出3成10打擊率、3成71上壘率和6成32長打率，還有7轟及18分打點，讓他剛被選為上個月的美聯最佳菜鳥，目前也是美聯年度新人王的強勢候選人。
大谷翔平不僅以2成85打擊率、22轟、61打點告別菜鳥年，投手丘上也留有4勝2敗，63次三振、防禦率3.31的成績，把他簽下來的艾普勒直呼，「這是我過去從未見過的，至少在大聯盟層級，我將永遠會記得。」
艾普勒預計明年賽季先讓大谷翔平以打者回歸，2020年才會再次站上投手丘，他還補充，大谷接下來雖然會回日本，不過休賽季期間將主要留在加州進行復健。
